Manufacturing vacuum interrupters within the confines of a clean room that included furnaces posed a unique HVAC and filtration challenge. Klenzaids is proud to be a design & build partner with Schneider Electric in the creation of such a critical environment.

The Need

Switching electrical platforms.

Environmental regulations and constraints becoming increasingly stringent, the world is switching to electrical equipment with a minimal environmental impact. Vacuum technology is one way. The idea of interrupting electricity in a vacuum is almost 80 years old and was pioneered by Schneider Electric and its predecessor companies. Vacuum interrupters are now the ideal medium voltage switching method for applications such as the protection of distribution networks and the operation of motors and pumps. Besides being ecological, vacuum interrupters are known for their excellent performance and reliability.

Technologies since 70 years Schneider Electric Corporation under its business division Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited in Kolkata, relied on Klenzaids expertise in previous projects executed by Klenzaids for ABB & Crompton Greaves in other parts of India to enhance quality standards and expand capacities in creating a benchmark facility for vacuum interrupters in Asia and trendsetting the group’s world-first-time attempt at creating truly flush finishes for even complex euipment such as Vacuum Furnaces mounted flush within prefab panel settings surpassing previous form factor.
